Cookie Notice

Last updated: April 2026. This notice explains how cookies and similar technologies may be used when you visit clariahope.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. They help pages work, remember preferences, or understand how a site is used.

How Claria Hope uses cookies on this Site

Claria Hope is a nonprofit organization. We aim to be transparent and proportionate: we do not use this Site to run third-party advertising or behavioral marketing by default. If we add analytics or fundraising tools that set cookies, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent before non-essential cookies load.

Categories you may encounter

Strictly necessary. Some features need minimal technical storage so the Site can function (for example, loading styles and scripts securely). Where the browser stores data only to deliver the page you asked for, it is often treated as necessary to provide the service.

Functional. If we enable optional features (such as remembering a language choice), we will describe them here.

Analytics and improvement. We do not ship Google Analytics or similar trackers in this template by default. If we turn on aggregate visit statistics in the future, we will list the provider, purpose, and retention, and use consent where the law requires it.

Third-party content embedded on our pages

Some pages include embedded content that is hosted by other companies. When you interact with that content, those providers may set or read cookies under their own policies, for example:

  • Google Maps on our Contact page (map display and related services).
  • YouTube when we link to or embed video content (for example on About).
  • Content delivery networks that deliver open-source font and icon files (for example Font Awesome via cdnjs) so our pages load reliably.

We choose embeds that support our mission—showing where we work and how we serve communities. You can review each provider’s cookie and privacy documentation on their websites.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the Site look or behave (for example, embedded maps or videos). Help pages for common browsers describe the steps for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Do not track

There is no uniform standard for “Do Not Track” signals. We design this Site to avoid unnecessary tracking; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.
